How Edward de Bono's 6 Hats Can Help Your Testing & Improve Test Coverage

Details

Want to help your team be more effective and improve group discussions? Want some fresh ideas for test planning?

Edward de Bono's "6 Thinking Hats" system of 6 differently coloured hats representing different ways of thinking, and the associated idea of "parallel thinking", is a great way for groups and individuals to plan thinking processes in a detailed and cohesive way and, in doing so, to think together more effectively. It's easy to learn, applicable to many situations, and can make you more productive, focused, and mindfully involved.

This will be a hands on workshop, working in small groups to learn and apply the basic concepts behind the 6 thinking hats to software testing.

Presenter: Akanksha (Aki) Singh
Aki has 12 years of experience in the software industry and has assumed various roles like Software Tester, Test Manager, Scrum Master and Agile Coach, across the globe. She currently works with Planit Testing as a Senior Consultant/Agile coach. She is very passionate about her work and constantly looks at applying innovation to mundane tasks and making them interesting for her team. She swears by the quote - Do what you love, and you'll never work a day in your life!
