Feb Meetup: Mobile app testing - Start of a journey

The February Meetup will have a guest speaker delivering a talk on Mobile App Testing, the usual pizza, chats and a test talk.
Michael Dixon from Ministry of Testing Dublin will deliver a talk “Mobile app testing - start of a journey”.
Talk Abstract
"I had been working in the financial services industry for around eight years, and decided that it wasn't really for me anymore. I had worked on many different projects, all web based, and with a few different companies and just felt jaded by renewal commission, adviser charges and death penalty calculations.
So just over two years ago, I decided to make a change and made a conscious decision to try and get into the mobile testing world. I had done my prep and felt confident in my ability in being able to be a good mobile tester, but realised that there is a lot more to it than meets the eye.
So what I'm going to do is talk through the experience I had from switching over from a web based to a more mobile world, some of basic things needed to be able to test on mobile. The problems we faced and how we are trying to overcome them in my company."
So the talk will be aimed at people who are just starting out in Mobile testing and anybody interested in it, will also try and give some tips along the way, and happy to answer questions. “
