MoT Glasgow July - Behavioural Management Workshop, David Luyt and Paul Turner
Details
As testers (also relevant for other roles), we gather information from a wide variety of sources to learn about the software under test. How we approach this can positively or negatively impact these interactions. While some of us are naturally good at this, it is a soft skill that can be learned. Several techniques can be adopted to build relationships, which should encourage more productive interactions. These skills are transferable to all aspects of life.
People with good interpersonal skills tend to be able to work well in a team and with other people. They can communicate effectively with others, including family, friends, colleagues, customers and clients. Interpersonal skills are therefore vital in all areas of life at work and socially.
Through awareness of how you interact with others, and with practice, you can improve your interpersonal skills. This course has plenty of information and practical advice that you can use to improve and develop own skills.
In this workshop you’ll learn:
- What behavioural Management is
- Working with personality traits
- How to defuse situations
- How to create an environment where desired behaviours will occur
This is based on a course by http://www.hollinconsulting.co.uk/, where further resources can be found.
