February #MidsTest - Continuous Delivery: a tester's journey and lessons learned

Details
MidsTest returns to Coventry, where first-time speakers Ahmed Hussein and Tom McCawley will give their presentation "Continuous Delivery: a tester's journey and lessons learned".
About the Talk:
"So many companies are seeking to move to a continuous delivery model, yet few have actually fully made the jump.
Does implementing a rapid release cycle mean sacrificing quality? Do the "traditional" approaches to testing apply within this delivery model?
Having been lucky enough to work on a project operating in a CD environment, we'd like to share what we learned on the project; what pitfalls we faced; how we operated as a team; and what mechanisms we built to support us on our journey."
About our speakers:
Ahmed is an independent Automation Test Architect/Consultant with over 10 years of experience in the testing domain. He works closely with Developers, DevOps engineers, and Data Scientists to help increase test coverage and improve quality through the use of automated testing solutions. He has been part of many multi-million-pound transformation and modernisation projects where he has introduced new testing methodologies and techniques to improve the testing across the software delivery life-cycle.
Tom has 10 years of experience in the field of QA, the last 6 of which heavily involved in automation, with experience working with a variety of tools and frameworks, spanning across multiple programming languages. He is a keen adopter of agile approaches and always keen to improve quality in both the software and delivery practices.
