About the Talk:
"When writing scripts with SoapUI (open source) for API testing, it is a common approach to repeat reusable functionality throughout the test cases. But having a project full of duplication means maintenance becomes a real bottleneck.

Using objects and calling their methods is an ideal (alternative) approach to overcome this issue. After designing various testing solutions, it is time for our lessons learnt to take place.

In this presentation Konstantinos will share with us, how a full structure of a SoapUI API Testing Project works in an Object-Oriented way.
Additionally, he will show us a real proof of concept with a comparison between the classic-implementation vs the object-oriented way. The conclusion is yours to make and after all… it does not have to do with the tool, but how we use it.”

About the Speaker:
Konstantinos is a Senior Test Automation Engineer specialized in software testing, currently working at Intrasoft International for the independent testing department, the Software Testing Services Center. With more than 10 years of experience in IT sector as a Web Developer and almost 4 years as Test Automation Engineer on EU projects, Konstantinos designs test automated solutions for UI, API, Performance etc. He is also co-organizer of Thessaloniki Software Testing Meetup, sharing his Test Automation enthusiasm and knowledge.
