Get to know the planets and elements in your chart and the living sky more viscerally with these (and other) sacred embodiment practices each month. The Sufi Planetary Walks and breathing practices were downloaded in the 1960s by the Sufi master who started the Dances of Universal Peace, Murshid Samuel Lewis. This workshop focuses on attunements to one particular (currently prominent) planet and sign at each class. You’ll learn the walking and breathing techniques of these energies, and be guided in attunement to the unique expressions of these energies in your chart and life. We’ll imbibe songs, dances, prayers, stories, and interactive movement and breath practices that can help you to attune more consciously to the dynamic gifts of astrology, and find more rewarding harmony with the energies of guidance from above. July 25th will be the first monthly Twin Cities Astrology Roundtable! Each month’s meeting will focus on: Exploration and discussion of our current Sun sign and its ruling planet. July 25: Leo/The Sun August 22: Virgo/Mercury September 26: Libra/Venus We'll start with brief intros of all present, and after a short overview from our host, we will all have opportunities to share our insights, ideas, and questions about the sign/ruling planet. Anything you would like to share that connects with the sign and its ruling planet is welcome, whether its via transit, natal chart, questions, or your own experiences. Time permitting, discussions of other current transits or events will be included. All beings and all levels of experience are welcome in this circle. All levels. The best way to really learn astrology is to talk in this language and look at case history after case history. Bring your chart, questions, tough cases, or examples you’d like to share, or just come and listen. This is a great way to learn, refine you skills, or enjoy company of astrologers. If you want a cheap reading, come with your birth data and be a guinea pig, be willing to talk about your life to the class. Beginners can listen in and ask questions, intermediate students can try their wings, and advanced/professionals can brainstorm, share notes, and practice translating their astrological knowledge into useful and accessible language.
