Azure User Group: Terraforming Azure

Details
Please join us for the August Minnesota Azure User Group meeting.
This month's topic is: Terraforming Azure with Ken Sykora
With several infrastructure as code tools available to be used on the Azure Platform, Terraform stands out because of its broad adoption across the development and IT community as a capable way to manage infrastructure in Azure, but also on extending support to manage in hybrid cloud and multi cloud solutions. We'll focus on its use in Azure, but also take a peek at a hybrid cloud solution. This session will be light on PowerPoint with a heavy focus on code, but we'll do some compare and contrast tools to other options in Azure and weigh the tradeoffs.
Ken is a software architect at HomeValet, serving the team as a designer for software solutions and platform roadmapping. Ken has spent his career on designing and building software solutions, with a focus on cloud, web, and mobile applications. Prior to joining the team at HomeValet, Ken led teams of software engineers in the manufacturing, insurance, marketing, and retail sectors. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire with a BS in Computer Science. When not designing, building, and prototyping, Ken is playing piano with his kids, exploring the great outdoors, or adding yet another game to his Steam collection which will inevitably sit on the shelf after seeing 30 minutes of play time.
