Xamarin in one form or another has been around for a long time. But with the recent acquisition of Xamarin by Microsoft, it has become a critical piece in the Microsoft .NET platform. The ability to write mobile applications for IOS/Android and Windows is now as easy as File..New Project. Or is it? Come join me and learn just what Xamarin is, how to get started developing applications with it in VS 2017, and how to overcome some common obstacles you may face.

William Austin is a Senior Consultant with Improving - Twin Cities where he works with clients to help them overcome their business challenges. He has been a .NET developer since the Beta 1.0 days and has made most of the 'big mistakes' during his career. He is also the current President of the TechMasters group and a Co-organizer of NServiceBus Twin Cities.
