Welcome!
Family nights are open to people of any age, you do not have to have children to attend. This night will be easy: no potlucks, no scrambling for babysitters, no planning, no commitment. The night is not focused on topic of atheism; this night is just to build community and have a safe space for our kids to network with others. The evening will host an adult space with games, snacks, drinks and conversation and a kids only area staffed with professional supervision. Please feel free to bring your favorite games, activities or snacks.
We will serve pizza at 6:30PM for all to share. We will accept a freewill donation for food (probably $5 a person) if you chose to participate. Please bring cash. Vegetarian options available.
Childcare will occur in three rooms starting at 7PM. Teens welcome too. RSVP expectations:
When you RSVP for your kids please include their ages.If you commit to bringing a kid, please show up. If there are no shows for childcare you may not have priority for slots in future months. It's required that kids RSVP for childcare by Wednesday prior to the Family Night, no exceptions.
The location is an Unitarian Church and Drug Treatment Center. The owner of the space is granting us the space for free (my employer, Sage Prairie). The space has a kitchen with a nice buffet or counter space for food. The adult room probably could support thirty people comfortably.
Please message me if you have any questions. I appreciate feedback if people have ideas to make this project better. Friends of invited guests are welcome to attend. Please just make us aware that they are coming so we have enough food.
