About us
Minnesota Atheists is Minnesota's oldest and largest atheist organization. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, educational organization that seeks to promote the positive contributions of atheism to society, provides a community for nonbelievers, educates the public about atheism, and promotes separation of state and church. We help make atheism part of mainstream society. We look forward to meeting you!
We are a member-supported organization. Everyone who works for Minnesota Atheists is a volunteer, but getting our word out does cost money. This site, our website, mailing newsletters, filming a cable TV show and participating in public events like festivals and parades all add up. We can do all of this thanks to you!

đź‘‹ Meet new people
💬 Share your story—or just listen
🤝 Help shape the future of TCFCThere is no presentation, debate, or formal agenda. The goal is connection, conversation, and community.
Whether you've been nonreligious for years or are still figuring things out, you're welcome.

MNA Online Book Club — That Librarian by Amanda Jones
·OnlineOnlineJoin us online Sunday July 12th at 2 p.m. to discuss That Librarian: The Fight Against Book Banning in America by Amanda Jones.
One of the things small town librarian Amanda Jones values most about books is how they can affirm a young person's sense of self. So in 2022, when she caught wind of a local public hearing that would discuss “book content,” she knew what was at stake. Schools and libraries nationwide have been bombarded by demands for books with LGTBQ+ references, discussions of racism, and more to be purged from the shelves. Amanda would be damned if her community were to ban stories representing minority groups. She spoke out that night at the meeting. Days later, she woke up to a nightmare that is still ongoing.
Mapping the book banning crisis occurring all across the nation, That Librarian draws the battle lines in the war against equity and inclusion, calling book lovers everywhere to rise in defense of our readers.
Tentative future books:
Starry Messenger: Cosmic Perspectives on Civilization by Neil deGrasse Tyson
God, Human, Animal, Machine: Technology, Metaphor, and the Search for Meaning by Meghan O'Gieblyn
Don't Think of an Elephant by George LakoffIf you are interested in any of these titles, or have other book suggestions, please message me or leave a comment below. Please also send my any suggestions for our August fiction book!
Please note: The link for joining the meeting is only visible to those on the attending list. If you are on the wait list you will not see the link unless a spot opens up and you are moved to attending.
