About us
Minnesota Atheists is Minnesota's oldest and largest atheist organization. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, educational organization that seeks to promote the positive contributions of atheism to society, provides a community for nonbelievers, educates the public about atheism, and promotes separation of state and church. We help make atheism part of mainstream society. We look forward to meeting you!
We are a member-supported organization. Everyone who works for Minnesota Atheists is a volunteer, but getting our word out does cost money. This site, our website, mailing newsletters, filming a cable TV show and participating in public events like festivals and parades all add up. We can do all of this thanks to you!

Visit Our Pride Booth - Saturday
Loring Park, 1642 Harmon Pl, Minneapolis, MN, USVisit our Pride Booth at the Twin Cities Pride Festival!
Staff our Pride Booth at the Twin Cities Pride Festival! The Twin Cities Pride Festival is always a great time. At our booth we give away literature, buttons, stickers, and more. We collect names, emails, addresses of people who want to learn more. And we answer questions about who we are as an organization and about atheism in general. Stop by and say Hi!
We also need volunteers to help staff the booth! Please sign up for a shift, the two hours go by so fast, you're welcome to even sign up for two shifts! Sign up for a shift at: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/508084EABA92AA3FD0-63995011-minnesota#/
Staffing is easy and fun, and we will make sure you are set to succeed by making sure new volunteers are paired with people who have staffed the booth before. When I tell people who we are, I say that we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, educational organization, we provide community, activism, and education through our assorted events such as summer picnics, monthly speakers, event series such as Freethinking Females or Bowling for Deities, and more. We don't have a hard set script or anything, so say what this organization means to you, even if it's just that you find it important to support an organization that puts a face to atheism.
I'll update this page with booth details when we get it. The booth is typically located in the Purple section, on the south side of the park, off Oak Grove St. I typically park across Hennepin/Lyndale in the Walker Art Center parking ramp or the sculpture garden parking lot - give yourself extra time to find parking. Of course you may also use mass transit, or bike, there's a bike corral nearby.
