Missing Maps mapathon

Details
Join us for an OpenStreetMap (http://www.openstreetmap.org/) (OSM) mapping event for Missing Maps, in support of Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF), the Red Cross and the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT), to help improve maps of vulnerable or disaster affected places such as Tanzania, Congo, Uganda, Indonesia and Nepal.
For this mapathon, we will be supporting the Danish, Swiss and British Red Cross which are working with the Guinea Red Cross on a reproductive health project in the Mamou region. Guinea Red Cross volunteers will be doing follow-up field mapping in the region to capture details such as place names. (primary task: http://tasks.hotosm.org/project/1735 )
The mapping event is open to everyone, from newbies to experienced OSM contributors. We will do an introduction about how to map and teach you how to edit OSM and work with the HOT Tasking Manager (http://tasks.hotosm.org/) on mapping tasks. All you need is a laptop, some spare time and enthusiasm for mapping.
