About us
This group is exclusively for those who identify as Male and are a parent to human children (pet parents don't count, sorry!). Please do not request to join if do not qualify. Please do not show up to an event until your request to join has been approved.
We're a welcoming group of fellow enthusiasts. We don't typically play mass market board games like clue, monopoly, risk etc. The focus is on modern designer board games (Euros, Ameritrash, etc).
The goal of each meetup is to have fun so we don't have tournaments or are ultra competitive. Please plan on contributing to a positive gaming environment.
Lastly, if you intend on joining, please respect our RSVP policy. You can RSVP through meetup.com or the meetup app on your phone if you plan on coming to an event. If you have to cancel, it's never a problem, but please make sure you change your RSVP status to "not going". It'll let everyone know we can start on time without waiting for you.

Dad's Thursday game night
LVLUP GAMES, 833 Westlock Rd Unit #9, Mississauga, ON, CAPlease RSVP before 3pm on Thursday if possible. Please do not show if you have not RSVP'd. There is a $6+tax seating fee payable to the store. Packaged memberships are also available.

Entering our 10th year, this group has been running weekly events intended for Dad's who are also board game enthusiasts. Please see our photo gallery for a sample of the games we play. We do not typically table mass market games (Chess, Clue, Monopoly etc.)
We often table a variety of games, new and old, to keep things fresh. It is not required that you bring any games yourself, although it is appreciated if you do. In that case, please be prepared to teach whichever games you bring.
Please do your best to support our venue LVLUP Games. Consider buying all your board games and accessories there.
The focus for each event is to have fun so please adhere to our event etiquette (Jan 2026):
- Please show up on time (we usually start the non-filler games right when the event starts).
- Please only attend an event if you've already RSVP'd. Please change your RSVP status if you have to cancel (we typically wait a bit if we think you're stuck in traffic).
- Please be kind to other players at your table:
- No excessively long turns
- No silly arguments over rules (if there's ambiguity, just agree on something temporarily for the evening)
- No rolling back your moves in previous turns
- You can invite a non-Dad guest every now and then but they cannot be a regular member of the group.
- Please leave the arguments about politics at home.
- Please do not take a win/loss too seriously.
