What we’re about

How many times have you been told you're not Black enough?

Mistaken Identity is an organization created for the sole purpose of extending to its Members an opportunity to find their own Comfort Zone. It was established as a network tool to introduce positive, independent, self-loving African American women to others who have been subjected to the "theory" of not being Black enough.

Mistaken Identity serves as a safe haven for African American women to come together to better themselves and the lives of others through a variety of social activities and volunteer projects. If you are interested in becoming an active member in the development of this Organization, please do not hesitate to join us. We look forward to meeting!

Some areas of interest include: Art, Literature, Community Service, Concerts, Dance, Dining Out, Golf, Health and Fitness, Meditation, Spa, Theater, Travel, and Yoga.

Please be sure that you are able to adhere to the Membership and No Show Policies outlined below before becoming a Member of this Group.

Membership Policy: ACTIVE membership is required!  If you do not attend an outing for 3 months, you will be automatically removed from the Group.

No Show Policy: Three (3) no shows will result in automatic removal from the Group.

AS OF 2017, Mistaken Identity is open to Members and their friends!  If you wish to invite a friend that is not African American , please feel free to have them join us!
