DIY Reflow Ovens - Soldering Circuit Boards at Home - Demonstration Lab

Victor Morrow will guide us through some applied experience with creating a circuit board. In particular we will explore how to solder surface mount components onto a PCB, at home.

However a DIY reflow oven also has it’s uses for small scale prototyping. During this evening we will try to demonstrate use of a DIY reflow machine, by applying it to the ECC508 microchip.

It’s like making pizza! Except your pepperoni is 2x4 millimeters, and needs to land exactly on point or your whole pizza explodes into magic smoke! This should be fun..
