"The Joys and Horrors of AV Foundation and Core Animation" with Andrew Rahn

AV Foundation is a powerful API for consuming, manipulating, displaying, and exporting video. Core Animation provides the ability to animate all kinds of properties of the layers of a scene. The two together provide a developer with many of the capabilities of a high level video editing tool like Adobe Premiere Pro. In this talk, we explore how they can be used to build the Amazing Selfie-Card -- and along the way start to get accustomed to the many subtle errors and unspoken rules of the road you'll encounter as you venture into one of iOS's most tempting and frightening APIs.
