Are you ready to get out of the house, make friends and have a good time?
Join our fun social group of girlfriends who like to get out, share conversation and indulge in a drink or two (coffee or cocktails). We will meet to unwind, chat, laugh, and make friends over cocktails or coffee, taking advantage of the great happy hours and exploring unique coffee shops throughout South OC.
Activities will vary from meetups at local coffee shops and happy hour spots, and as we continue to grow, we will be adding many more fun times to the calendar.
Just a few ideas are: Lunches, brunches, dinners, potlucks, game nights, bunco, hikes, fitness fun, day trips, beach days, spa treatments, shopping, bunco, book clubs, paint and pints, cooking classes, live music, wine tastings, and so much more.
Tips for getting the most out of M & M (and making friends):
• BE ACTIVE - The more events you go to and the more frequently you see the same faces, the more chance you’ll have of making a genuine connection.
• BE RESPECTFUL - Be polite, inquisitive (but not prying) and encourage everyone to contribute to the conversation. It's likely that everyone else is just as nervous about meeting new people as you are, so be gentle and kind.
• BE RELIABLE - Don’t leave your new friends waiting and wondering if you are going to show up or stand the group up. Message the group if you’re running late (the host will post phone #) and we can let you know where we are when you arrive. Please give plenty of notice if you can't make it– just like you would with family or friends. This is also respectful to our venues.
• BE PROACTIVE - If you have suggestions for events or would like to try hosting, let the us know. We would love to hear from you and welcome our members to be as involved as we are. We all lead busy lives and are limited in the number of events we can host ourselves, so the more hosts we have, the more chances for members to make friends.
• BE YOURSELF - Recognize that you are wonderfully unique and have something to contribute to the group. Variety is the spice of life. So let go and have a laugh. Show enthusiasm. Be brave and include your profile photo so the group can get to know your name. A profile photo is also a safety feature for our members and is a requirement to join the group.
• BE SUPPORTIVE - If you have a wonderful time at an event, let the host and group know by posting a message on the event page. Share your photos. Encourage positivity and watch how friendships grow.
