Come cast a Bronze Age sword!
Ever seen someone making a sword in a movie and thought it looked way cool? If so, this class is for you! Join us for a 4 hour swordmaking class (9-2 pm), where you’ll choose a wooden blank cut in one of several Bronze Age patterns and finish it using power tools and hand sanding. Next, you’ll get your hands dirty making a sand cast of the wooden original, and watch as we pour an exact copy of it in molten aluminum! When it is finished, wrap the handle in leather and take it home! $85 Class size is limited to 15, and often sells out, so grab a friend and sign up for your class today. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/bronze-age-sword-casting-class-tickets-19459306309 For a preview of class, check out our recent appearance on Rooster Teeth's Burnie Vlog, where we cast a bronze khopesh with Ellie. The episode has been one of their most popular, and has been viewed over 275K times! https://youtu.be/PKsoch0DNfc

Ever watched a video about Bronze Age metal working and thought it looked too cool for school? If so, this group is for you! You'll start by choosing a wooden blank cut in one of several Bronze Age designs, then finishing it using power tools and hand sanding. In the second half of class, you'll get your hands dirty making a sand cast of the wooden original, then watch as we pour an exact copy of it in molten aluminum! When it is finished, they wrap the handle in leather and take it home! The fee is $85 per sword casting, not per participant, so you're welcome to bring a friend. To buy tickets to the next class or see pictures of past classes, visit Sword Casting Guy's Facebook page or go to www.swordcastingguy.com

This started out as a class for kids, but we've had a lot of adults take the class for themselves as well, so it is now an all ages event. There is no lower age limit, but due to the challenge level of this activity, participants 7 or younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who will assist them. And you wouldn't be alone--it is common to have almost as many parents as kids attend this class to experience this amazing process.
