Welcome to the Mom Matters circle, where mom's learn to embrace that caring for our loved one's also means taking care of ourselves. All mom's need support. If you are looking for a place to have fun, be yourself, and learn to live in balance, you have come to the right place. Many of us are new to this journey, others more experienced. Mom Matters encourages that wherever you are, you can be empowered from the wisdom, support, and resources that Mom Matters has to offer!
Mom Matters is a circle that builds community and allows the space for moms to come together to get advice and support on topics like pregnancy, health, self-esteem, body image, sex and sexuality and overall life after birth/child (of course we include mommies-to-be). Being that self-care and awareness is vital to our health and growth, we will incorporate holistic practices into our time together, including yoga, breathing, journaling and meditation.
Facilitated by: Heather Simonson, LMSW with different topics each gathering
While this is an educational/support group, it will provide for participants to be social and build a community together. We will also plan other more casual and social events as well.
Please come see what we are creating. Gatherings happen every 4th Tuesday at 6:30 pm for approximately 1 hour in a beautiful new Education and Yoga center in West Babylon.
Babies in arms are welcome to be a part of our circle and childcare may be available. Please inquire if this is a need.
