Hi! I'm a mom of 3 kids 4 and under. I started reconsidering my gray-area drinking relationship with alcohol and became sober-curious in October, 2019. After thinking I wanted to drink 'just for celebrations', I recently (1.28.19) have decided that alcohol-free is the way for me to be, but I am realizing there can be lack of community and support that comes with that choice. I would love to find other sober or sober-curious mamas who want to meet up, talk in an open format and find support from one another.
I got sober by writing, doing yoga, lots of reading to expand my awareness, listening to podcasts, starting an instagram (@MamaSayYesTo), and LOTS of coffee :) I recently started attending a 12-step program to get that in-person connection I was craving and found it works for me, but I'm always interested in meeting other sober mamas!
Since most of us have children and LA traffic is rough, there will be online meet ups and occasional coffee dates in person (check the 'Events' tab)! We had an awesome and successful first meeting online. Each woman's energy and overall well-being shifted positively after chatting for just an hour. My goal is to connect with each other to create meaningful, lasting relationships over our mutual interest of giving our kids a better version of ourselves.
