Grafana is an open source, feature rich metric dashboarding application and graph editor. Grafana can build metric dashboards on top of Graphite, InfluxDB and OpenTSDB metric backends. The creator of Grafana, Torkel Ödegaard, will be visiting New York City. We have invited him to showcase the newest features of Grafana and also to gather feedback from users in NYC. If you've never seen Grafana in action, this is your opportunity to see it live and ask any questions to the engineer who actually writes the code! :)

InfluxDB is a time series, events, and metrics database. It's written in Go and has no external dependencies. That means once you install it there's nothing else to manage. It's designed to be distributed and scale horizontally, but be useful even if you're only running it on a single box. Paul Dix, CEO of InfluxDB, will be giving a talk on the future clustering implementation in InfluxDB along with some potential major API changes and improvements. It'll be a good event to learn about where the clustered setup is going and to give feedback on the API.
