Join us for Montana Code School’s Demo Day to meet our talented students who will be available for hire starting in December 2018.

Our students have spent the last few weeks in teams developing apps from scratch. For the second round of projects we've branched out into exploring the space around web development and programming in general.

Our students are ideal candidates for tech companies looking for software developers and interns. Montana Code School alumni have joined Submittable, Partners Creative, ATG, Cedar Mountain Software, Workiva, and others.

Event Schedule:

5:30pm – Attendees arrive; mingle over beer and pizza
5:45pm – Presentations start
6:15pm – More mingling over beer and pizza
7:00pm – Doors close

For our final demo day, we've let the students explore the infinite space
that surrounds the coding world and the frustrating and strangely rewarding pathways that exist as part of this space.

The originality and complexity of these projects is chosen by the individual student or team of students, but among the myriad of libraries, databases, and applications used were:

ThreeJS, CannonJS, and Blender, Google Cloud Vision API, Spotify API,
Firebase, MobX, React Native, Google Cloud Storage

Sound Escape - A browser based first-person 3D puzzler using sound
to solve puzzles.

Spotivision - A web based app that generates music determined by the content of an uploaded photo.

Minigames - A React-Native app compiled to Android that allows you to play short games with your list of friends.

Nathan’s Daily Planner - A simple planner/calendar app which can be used
to help organize ones daily, weekly, or monthly schedules and agendas.

Do Foil - A web app to demonstrate the standard method of multiplying two binomials.

Montana Code School exists to launch students’ careers in software development and to contribute to our growing tech community. We believe that the best way to learn includes teaching, and we experiment with ways to encourage students to teach and support each other. We use the best tools and philosophies we know of for generating great software, building great teams, offering great experiences to those who use our software and producing real business value from our work. This includes ideas from the Agile Manifesto and the Agile software community, Lean Manufacturing, Accelerated Learning, Positive Psychology, the newest Brain Science, and more. We rely on quick feedback loops. We have a plan, but we adapt based on what works. Play is perhaps the best learning tool of them all.
