MonteVIDEO Tech Meetup is for anyone interested in the underlying technology behind video distribution and PayTV industry. We will discuss about the industry from a technical side: engineering, product design and development.
We will cover technologies like broadcasting, monitoring, subscriber management systems, video security (CA and DRM), HTML5 video, streaming, transcoding, codecs, advertising, open standards, and more.

A new kind of room is opening, small, curated, and built for people who want to think beyond headlines and understand how MediaTech systems are actually changing.
This live session with Andy Beach and JP Saibene is your first look inside the Innovation Track, a two-day working room happening during the Montevideo Tech Summer Camp 2026.
Unlike a traditional conference track, this space is intentionally small and designed for depth: operators, engineers, product leaders, founders, researchers, and open-source contributors mapping what’s shifting in the stack, and Designing the Next Layer of media systems together.
We’ll walk through:
- What the Innovation Track is (and what it isn’t)
- Who the room is designed for and how participants are selected
- The themes emerging from early conversations
- How we’ll work together in Punta del Este
- What outputs will be created (working paper, insights, collaboration paths)
