Journey to Lower World: Mulching the Energy that Does Not Serve

Online event

$180.00

This is a 4-week online course which meets FRIDAYS, OCTOBER 29, November 5, 12, & 19.

Shamanic journey meditation is an ancient form of meditation honoring the existence of worlds beyond the physical world in which we currently exist. In this course, we will deepen our connection to the landscape of the Lower World, which is the realm that houses “the tough stuff”. In the Lower World, we explore unprocessed energy from generations before us that has not been addressed, and we face the energy within us that makes us squirm. Some examples of things that might live in the Lower World include things such as fear of scarcity from past famines, fear of persecution from past atrocities, unresolved trauma, our own patterns of judgement, internalized rage, internalized shame, etc. We do this in order to transform that energy that does not serve us, learn how to prevent this accumulation of unprocessed energy moving forward, and restore flow to ourselves and the world-at-large.

**Participation in prior Drop-In Journey Meditations and/or Journey Courses is highly recommended to receive the most benefit from this course.**

Participants in this course will:

Learn the basic structure and guidelines for being able to build a personal
shamanic journeying practice.

Become familiar with the mythology of the Lower World from the perspective of Andean tradition.

Build relationship to guides and explore/engage in the energetic Lower World
through guided journey meditation and creative arts practices.

Utilize connection to the Lower World to intentionally transform energy that does not serve.

Integrate and deepen journey experiences through safe community processing, movement and somatic practices, writing practices and ceremony.

Understand the practical application of cultivating a personal journeying practice.

Joyful Living Challenge

Online event

As human beings, we were born with a negativity bias that makes it very easy for us to notice what’s “wrong.” This innate bias is intended to help us detect and avoid danger. The only problem is that simply detecting what is uncomfortable or desired doesn’t serve our wellbeing! We benefit so much from the cultivation of a more balanced experiencing of our world.

“Joyful Living” is all about turning toward the good that is already occurring— the whole array of mini-and-major-miracles happening every single day, only waiting for us to acknowledge and receive them. Through teaching, sharing, meditation, and daily practices, we will encourage and support each other in embracing “the good stuff.”

Cultivate awareness that naturally leads to gratitude;

Uncover the treasures of the everyday;

Put yourself in the path of joy.

You're invited to try out a 21-day "challenge" implementing simple daily practices as easy, practical ways to shift our way of being.

In this challenge, you’ll receive…
~ Encouragement in these practices,
~ The support of our community through our online course area,
~ Additional background resources,
~ An invitation to join on 4 Zoom calls

Please note: You can participate in as many or as few of these components as you like!

The calls will be held online via Zoom, with additional components on our online community platform. When you register, we’ll send you the details to join us there.

I am excited to draw from folks in the field of positive psychology, and to go beyond warm and fuzzy to real, researched ways of becoming happier and experiencing more wellbeing. I can't think of a better time to do this than NOW. Check out this video all about the challenge. Feel free to invite your friends and family, anyone you know who could use a boost of JOY!

HOST: KATIE DUTCHER

TUESDAYS, NOV. 2, 9, 16, 23, 6:30 - 7:30 PM
This program is offered freely to spread joy and wellbeing.
