Walk the Pennypack Trail starting from Pine Road

This is a paved trail that runs from the edge of Lorimer park to the Delaware River. The trail is about ten miles long, but we'll just walk the first two or three, then turn back. Total distance will be four or six miles.

I'd like to stretch this walk to 3 miles each way (6 miles total). We'll stop after the first 2 so that anyone who wants to stick with the original distance can turn back at that point. There is only one path, so you don't have to worry about getting lost if you turn back early.

There are several short hills, some of which are fairly steep. The trail runs alongside the Pennypack creek and provides some really beautiful views. There are lots of trees which provide shade over most of the trail.

We'll meet in the parking lot near the restrooms.

Leashed dogs are welcome.
