CBS Film Series presents
Fiddler: A Miracle of Miracles

The film takes a look at the story behind one of Broadway's famous musicals, Fiddler on The Roof. How did it originate? Why is it still beloved and relevant today? In 1964, at a time when America was still mourning for JFK, when the Vietnam War was beginning to haunt the American psyche, and when the world was on the verge of a massive counter-cultural revolution, Fiddler on the Roof opened to massive audiences. It held the record for the longest running musical for almost 10 years, won 9 Tony Awards, and spawned five Broadway revivals. The show is still performed in schools and theaters around the world. Why? How did this come to be? The film features Lin-Manuel Miranda: Creator of “Hamilton” and Sheldon Harnick: Lyrist and co-creator of Fiddler on the Roof.
