Talk #1: New Generation Texturing with Substance Tools and Unity
In this talk, Anthony Carmona will explain how to use Unity's new shading model (Physically Based Rendering) as well as introduce Substance Designer and Substance Painter, the new texturing software standards in the game industry.
Anthony Carmona is a self taught Environment Artist currently working as a freelancer for the indie company Midgar Studio.
Talk #2: Unity Scripting with Design Patterns
A short post-mortem of my attempts in finding the most optimal design patterns to use within the context of Unity’s scripting engine. Is the combination of the facade and the singleton pattern the best way to expose a complex gameplay system or is there other patterns to consider without falling into the trap of over-engineering?
David Baron is a programmer, designer and artist with several years of experience in the game and multimedia industry. He has worked for several major studios, including Eidos and Ubisoft.
