Despacho Ritual

Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington, VA

MoonFire Despacho Ritual Special Date - August 23, 2020 Yes, it's not our usual 3rd Sunday meeting time, but please join MoonFire at 1:30 PM on Sun, 08/23 for a Despacho ritual, over Zoom. The Despacho ceremony is taken from the Andes Indians of Peru, who are descended from holy shamans of the Inca race. A Despacho is a prayer bundle or offering - - an expression of gratitude to heal physical and emotional aliments of any kind, to restore balance or harmony where it is off, or when there's a specific request of the spirit world. Let us give an offering to the world of harmony, health, and gratitude by creating this special Despacho Ceremony! If you would like to join us, please RSVP to [masked] for the Zoom link. Detailed necessary Info: We usually have ritual every 3rd Sunday of the month at the Church starting at promptly 1:30 PM with a pre-ritual briefing, rain or shine. Plan to arrive a little early so you can meet new folks and get settled in - - 1:15 PM is a good time to shoot for. All 3rd Sunday rituals are followed by a potluck, as are most of our other activities. Drinks, desserts and other food items are welcome but should conform to the rule: UUCA is a peanut free zone; please do not bring any peanut products into the building. MoonFire welcomes everyone.
