What we're about

This group is for ladies (30-45) who love reading, drinking wine, dining out and just all around socializing!

Every month we will read a book and meet to discuss it! I loved the book club I was a part of in New York so I'd love to start it out similar and we can evolve as we grow!
As we have more members join, I'd love to have each person pick a month that they would like to "host." As the host you pick the book, the date, time and restaurant/ cafe we will meet at.

I also don't want this to be a completely selective group, but we'll probably need to have a few rules in place as we grow. For example: multiple RSVP's and then no shows to the restaurants will probably lead to being removed from the group. This will be to ensure that those who want to attend can (in case we need to cap a meeting per the restaurant's request). As mentioned above, this is an ever evolving group, so please be patient with me!

“A beautiful novel that's full of forbidden passions, family secrets and a lot of courage and sacrifice.”—Reese Witherspoon

Havana, 1958. The daughter of a sugar baron, nineteen-year-old Elisa Perez is part of Cuba's high society, where she is largely sheltered from the country's growing political unrest—until she embarks on a clandestine affair with a passionate revolutionary...

Miami, 2017. Freelance writer Marisol Ferrera grew up hearing romantic stories of Cuba from her late grandmother Elisa, who was forced to flee with her family during the revolution. Elisa's last wish was for Marisol to scatter her ashes in the country of her birth.

Arriving in Havana, Marisol comes face-to-face with the contrast of Cuba's tropical, timeless beauty and its perilous political climate. When more family history comes to light and Marisol finds herself attracted to a man with secrets of his own, she'll need the lessons of her grandmother's past to help her understand the true meaning of courage.
