What we're about

This is a new group that some of my friends and I are creating dedicated to creating unity and justice in our community through fostering, cultivating, elevating, and promoting spirituality and peace through discussion, the arts and community service in our neighborhoods. We aim to host events that uplift, inspire and give expression to the human spirit. We welcome a diverse community from all backgrounds and create spaces for community members of all ages that facilitate elevated conversation, inquiry, consultation and learning. As we grow together and learn from one another we hope to build bridges of unity and respect for all humanity.

Finding Joy in Troubling Times (Free Online Gathering)

Finding a moment to truly disconnect from the pressures around us and focus our minds seems more and more out of reach in today’s society. So how can we find a moment of peace and joy in the midst of the chaos surrounding us and learn to reconnect with our spiritual selves? And why do we need to?

Practices in faith traditions of prayer and meditation to the rising trend of mindfulness confirm that in this sea of chaos, our souls are searching for a sense of peace and tranquility, a sense of joy that can sometimes seem hard to find. So how can we find what our souls are searching for in the midst of these troubling times? And what are we limiting when we don’t create the conditions to allow for that peace and joy? What would society look like if we were able to connect spiritually with ourselves and with those around us?

Come join a different kind of conversation – one that welcomes every perspective in a search for the truths that unite us all – as we discuss the spiritual perspective offered by the Bahá’í Teachings on how we can find true, inner joy and peace. Join us for a lively discussion as we explore how spiritually reconnecting refreshes us as individuals and allows us to better serve those around us as we work with each other to bring together a unified global community.

“My first counsel is this: Possess a pure, kindly and radiant heart...” – Bahá’í Teachings

What’s Your Spiritual Footprint? | Free Online Event

Online event

Some people believe that as long as we’re not hurting anyone else, that we can do as we like. But is it enough to simply “do no harm”? Or do we need to actively seek to “do good”?

What about when it comes to our spiritual lives? Is our spirituality limited to our own personal growth and progress, or can we live in a way that our beliefs and actions make a positive impact on the world around us?

When we think about ideas like sustainability and carbon footprints, we are thinking about the impact of our lives on our material environment. But what about our spiritual environment? Are we considering the spiritual footprints we are leaving behind? What would it look like to live conscious of the lasting impact of our choices and our spirituality on not just the world around us, but on future generations as well?

Come join a different kind of conversation – one that welcomes every perspective in a search for the truths that unite us all – as we discuss the spiritual perspective offered by the Bahá’í Teachings on the lasting impact we each have on our communities. Join us for a lively discussion as we explore how we can each contribute to the spiritual growth of the world around us, now and for generations to come.

Spirituality in a Time of Great Divide | Free Online Event

Online event

What would happen if we could look past our differences as people and instead focus on the inherent commonality we all share as spiritual beings part of one humankind?

The world around us seems focused on amplifying the existing fractures in society, highlighting messages of division and conflict over those of peace and unity. So in this environment, how can we as individuals make a difference? Can spirituality help us foster that peace and unity? How can we stop talking over each other and start listening to those we disagree with? How can we create unified and inclusive communities that can work for the benefit of us all?

Come join a different kind of conversation – one that welcomes every perspective in a search for the truths that unite us all – as we discuss the spiritual perspective offered by the Bahá’i Teachings on how we as individuals can make a difference in a divided world. Join us for a lively discussion as we explore the role of spirituality in healing the divisions present in our society and working for the progress of all.

“So powerful is the light of unity that it can illuminate the whole world.” – Bahá’i Teachings

Is Love Something You DO? Free Online Gathering

Online event

We all know about love in our personal relationships, that it’s not just something you think or even say but that it’s something you show by putting what you’re feeling into practice. But what happens when we think about love in a wider context? How do we embrace loving those beyond our existing circles? What about all of humanity? Is it enough to simply feel love for all mankind, or do we also have to seek out ways to put that into practice? This can seem like a daunting task, but even coming together with people of different backgrounds and beliefs and exploring these ideas together in an open and respectful setting can help contribute to creating the world we want to see!

Come join a different kind of conversation – one that welcomes every perspective in a search for the truths that unite us all – as we discuss the spiritual perspectives offered by the Bahá’i Teachings on the power of love in action. Join us for a lively discussion as we explore how developing that practice in ourselves and in others can help create the change we want to see in the world.

“Do not be content with showing friendship in words alone, let your heart burn with loving kindness for all who may cross your path.” – Bahá’i Teachings
