This is a new group that some of my friends and I are creating dedicated to community building through fostering, cultivating, elevating, and promoting spirituality and peace through the arts and community service in our neighborhoods. We host events that uplift, inspire and give expression to the human spirit. We welcome a diverse community from all backgrounds and create spaces for community members of all ages that facilitate elevated conversation, inquiry, consultation and learning. As we grow together and learn from one another we hope to build bridges of unity and respect for all humanity.
Has spirituality been given a bad rap? What are we losing when we lack a practical approach to organizing our inner lives?
Rather than seeing spirituality and science as entirely separate realms, are there lessons from each that could be applied to one another? Are there scientific principles that could be applied to our spiritual explorations? Does the soul grow? Where do scientific ethics come from, and how do we agree on them?
Join a different kind of conversation — one that welcomes every perspective in a search for the truths that unite us. Please join us for a lively discussion on the spiritual perspective offered by the Bahá'i teachings on finding spiritual truth in our physical surroundings. This event will be hosted at Harmony House (401 Ash St, Lake Oswego).
"Religion and Science are inter-twined with each other and cannot be separated. These are the two wings with which humanity must fly. One wing is not enough. " – Bahá’i Teachings
