EVENT IS FILLED

What could be better than camping by the beach in the summer.

Doing it at Big Sur would be icing on the cake.

EVENT IS FILLED

Big Sur is a rugged and mountainous section of the Central Coast of California between Carmel Highlands and San Simeon, where the Santa Lucia Mountains rise abruptly from the Pacific Ocean.

Note for its dramatic scenery. Big Sur has been called the "longest and most scenic stretch of undeveloped coastline in the contiguous United States", as well as a sublime national treasure.

Another quote: "one of the most beautiful coastlines anywhere in the world, an isolated stretch of road, mythic in reputation"

Stunning views, redwood forests, hiking, beaches, and other recreation makes Big Sur receives about the same number of visitors as Yosemite National Park

And we get to go!!!!

As with many things on this group. This trip is special and different.

Of course the ADDED layer of this being recent Post Covid

Let's get to that part first.. We will proceed with safety as paramount.

We have booked out the entire site so we will be able to control density, and distance on every level. Tents will be spaced from each other, and campfire will be divided among several so that distance kept there. Food prep will not be one single kitchen as normal but rather divided to several. Additionally we will forego the normal Pot Luck we do on arrival as the idea of food you did not personally prepare, with several people touching while serving, is just not a good thing at the moment.

All restrooms are flush toilets and NOT pit/septic toilets. Being real porcelain they are able to be cleaned often and regularly, and actually be clean.

So we will very much manage distance, cleanliness/hygiene, and safety.

Our site on grass and not dirt. As well as mostly shaded.

We have a private site. Just for us.

Itinerary:
Monday - - -
Depart SF or LA when you can arrive as late as Midnight.
We can be in our site as early as 4PM on Monday

Tues - - - - -
8:00am to 5:00pm
Planned activity options.

Wed:
Do what you missed on Sat

Thurs: Sure

Thurs: Relax and Enjoy.

OK . . . Tell me about food and everything else. What's included?

The logistics of us providing food (as well as food prep issues with Covid) are just not feasible or safe.
Due to varied dietary needs, and food contact issues, it's better if bring what you like and prep it. There will be grills available.
BUT there are also local options. No need to cook too much if you don't want to.

Firewood: No fires at the moment due to elevated fire danger. Propane or liquids fuel OK if with fire permit.

Kids? Sure.

Pets? This will greatly limit you. It's NOT ok to leave them untended in our campsite area. Dogs allowed in camp, and at some of the nature areas. You can bring your dog if you are aware of the limits.

Carpools? Normally we make a carpool resource. At this point in time (Covid) it will be better to pool with people who you know and those who you have had prior contact with.

Our events fill early due to quality sites with amenities. Curated or guided hikes& adventures.

This event is a shared and joint event. It is limited.

The number of RSVP's do not reflect the number attending.
You are ONLY attending if you have filled out the google from AND if you have received the Event Info Emails

The event is filled.
