Morris Tech Meetup is excited to host Dan Cassino, a national polling expert. Dan has appeared and or been referenced by many national news outlets regarding polling including The New York Times, Bloomberg, The Financial Times, WPIX, The Washington Post and many more. Dan is now the Director of Experimental Research, the PublicMind Poll at FDU. He will join us for a discussion about polling technology.
In light recent events the methodologies for polling have been called into question. In this NON POLITICAL event Dan will discuss polling technology past, present and future including the 2016 and 2020 presidential election polls. Topics will include margins of error, methodology and accuracy with special focus on recent polls and what can be done to improve them.
Dan Cassino is a professor of Government and Politics at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, and the incoming Executive Director of the FDU Poll. He publishes widely on polling and gender, including his most recent book, "Fox News and American Politics." He is also a frequent guest on New York and international news programs, and his research has been the subject of articles in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, and other major national news outlets.
