We've created an interesting, fun place for folks to gather, have discussions, enjoy social time, meet like minded people, provide a forum for sexual education, and generally provide fellowship for those of us that are curious about, practicing, or interested in discussing relationship challenges, sharing stories, kink, sex education and alternative relationships, all as they relate to consensual nonmonogamy. The entire alphabet is welcome and invited; leave your judgement and closed minds at the door. We'll have parties and include regular focused nonmonogamy topic 101 meetups, as well as social gatherings where we can let loose, and support groups for when relationships get tricky. This is an adult only group; 18 and over.
What to expect
We have a great core group of people of about 15-20 who regularly come to our events. They range from new to very experienced with non-monogamy, we usually have 25-50 people at our Friday social potluck and 25-30 at our 101's. Typically there are people new to our group and/or the lifestyle at each one. We have a pretty diverse range of sexual preference/orientation/gender/age etc, with a growing touch of race diversity. There has been good feedback that it is a comfortable space for both introverted and extroverted personalities. As a newbie there will probably be some "picking/probing" of you during our discussion time, but there is no expectation to talk or divulge anything you don't want to. We are big on consent, especially for physical touch, but we don't want to cross emotional boundaries either. Most of our group are poly folks, but we also have swingers and kinky folks and explorers.
Potluck social: We typically have a facilitated discussion for an hour or two, depending on the flow that night. We choose topics that people bring with them or ones the facilitator introduces. Then it's freeform; people mingle and party and socialize. You're welcome to bring alcohol or whatever you'd like and just let loose.
101's: We give classes on common relationship issues, from STI education, to learning about attachment styles, dating, jealousy and how to deal with it, and more. After the formal class it's open for participant led discussions if there's time.
