What we're about

I started KS Kayaks in 2017 with the belief that anyone can (and everyone should) experience the thrill of kayaking through the beautiful Lowcountry. This Meetup group is for anyone interested in kayaking and kayak camping. I will schedule many different events ranging from beginner paddles to more advanced day trips. In addition, we will have monthly camping opportunities. I am also open to suggestions from members! All skill levels are welcome.

Paddle the Wando - a 14 mile journey!

Remleys Point Public Boat Landing

This Meetup is free of charge for Coastal Kayak Club members! We will meet at our end spot (Remley's Point Public Boat Landing) and load kayaks onto a trailer and shuttle to our starting point - Paradise Island Public Boat Landing. We will then paddle 14 miles down the Wando, riding the ebb tide the entire journey. We will stop at Cat Island for lunch (about 3.5 miles into the trip). When we reach our final destination we will head to a local restaurant for dinner & drinks! Please note this is NOT a beginner trip due to the distance. We will not be racing, but would like to keep a consistent pace so please bring kayaks of at least 14', and please no SOT's (sit on tops). If you don't have your own equipment there are a limited number of boats available for rental. If you have any questions please message Kendra. The rental fee is $45. *Please provide your cell phone number so we can contact you with any last minute changes (weather, traffic delays etc...)
