Bmx for Mountain bikers. If you want to try something new with your mountain bike/bmx and want to improve your skills and fitness over the winter, why not come along and give this a go. Hosted by Euan Rossi 4x racer and pro Ews Racers this evening is the way forward. All you need is a maintained bike (no pegs if you are being a BMX) with working rear brake and a full face helmet. ( Kit can also be hired at the venue). Prices for an evening on the track will be £4.70 track only. Other cost may occur if hiring equipment.
Blue Thursday are back baby! A 2 - 3 hour ride around the sights and sounds of the whw, Mugdock and the waterworks. Primarily aimed at novice riders but as always everyone's welcome and routes planned accordingly. Please have a working, capable bike before arriving and the usual no helmet no ride rule applies. Good trail lights are now a must for this time of year. Hope to see some new faces out as I'm bored of Scott's chat already. 😂😋
• What we'll do Social night ride round Lennox Forest. Usually a figure of 8 and incorporating some challenging singletrack. All welcome. Please make sure you have lights fully charged and be prepared for all kinds of weather. Starting from Ferguson park we will cycle along the old railway line paved path and up towards Lennox Castle. We will ride a short loop and then head up to the highest part of the forest for the final descent. The ride will take around 2 hours and we will ride at the pace of the slowest rider and wait at points for everyone to regroup. There is no pressure to ride technical sections above your level and we want everyone to have a safe, enjoyable ride. Show your support for RED MTB Club by joining our club here: https://goo.gl/forms/UrCf552LzAqEGOMo1 Also support our plans to build a bikepark in the grounds of Lennox Forest by signing our online petition here: https://www.ipetitions.com/petition/build-a-mountain-bike-park-in-lennoxtown • What to bring Appropriate clothing, helmet and suitable bike for riding singletrack • Important to know As this is a social ride there is no official leader although there will be a host
Cathkin Braes every Tuesday Night A mini trail centre on the edge of Glasgow. At only 5.5km long this trail is packed with fun features: drops, jumps, rock gardens, berms, a dual slalom section and some nice single track. Although graded as Red, this course is a great wee introduction to the trail centers that can be found all over Scotland. Tuesday night is for everyone and we are happy to go at the slowest persons pace...[or break into 2 groups]. You're going to need good lights. Meet @ the top car park. It's cold out so please be on time. As usual, no Helmet, no Ride.
