What we're about
Moved to Maidenhead from London? Wonder where all the decent coffee shops went, not to mention your favourite avocado-on-sourdough brunch?
We know what you're going through. Transitioning to a half-boarded-up provincial town with a very "un-London" demographic is enough to make you pine for the vibrancy of the Big Smoke. Combined with a killer commute (but the beautiful promise of Cross Rail...), it certainly takes some getting used to and the temptation is to see your new home as a sojourn while you prepare for your next trip to London.
But, Maidenhead has a great pull, offering 20 & 30-something couples their first house, a strategic location close to some of the best bits of England and Wales and a fairly decent Japanese restaurant to boot.
If the above rings true for you and you're still adjusting to life here, you're not alone! This group will hopefully help you meet some similar folk, feel a little bit more at home and settle into life in Berkshire.
