Join us for a fun, empowering intro workshop taught by a certified home improvement contractor and handywoman Taerra Pence! Together we’ll learn:
- The four basic tools you need — and the 20 house/apartment problems you can solve with them
- Drilling basics — learn the basics between drills, drilbits, and practice using one!
- How to empower ourselves to make everyday fixes!
Come to have fun, make new friends, play with tools and drink wine (in that order). Leave knowing how to use basic tools to make everyday fixes!
Event fee includes all supplies, hands-on instruction, follow-up tutorials and WINE!
This workshop is the first in a 10-class series. Put your class fee towards the rest of the session if you decide to continue!

About the instructor:
Taerra Pence is a home improvement contractor in Manhattan specializing in small repairs and small contracts. She is a native of Richmond, VA where she got her start as a handywoman helping her parents with home remodel projects and repairing the family van.
She moved to NYC in 2016 to pursue her opera career, but ended up starting a handy[wo]man business, “The Practical Diva” to fund her lessons, auditions, travel, and living expenses in New York.
