What we’re about
This is a meetup for Mumbai/Navi Mumbai users of Spark (www.spark-project.org), the high-speed Python and Scala-based cluster programming framework. We'll also discuss other Spark-related projects, including the Hive-on-Spark port (Shark), and other new programming tools for big data. The meetup will include introductions to the various Spark features, case studies from current users, best practices for deployment and tuning, and future development plans.

It's less complicated than it seems. In this session, you will build your first data contract. We will first set the decorum:- What is a data contract?
- What's its purpose?
- Why it simplifies data engineers' lives?
Then we will jump into the hands-on part, using some (as of now, experimental) open-source tools to generate a skeleton of a data contract, and we will add information to it.
Join us for this fun and fast-paced session, filled with extremely relevant information, whether you are using IBM products or not.

Artificial Intelligence’s role in our lives is becoming more and more significant, and all indications suggest that it will soon become vital. Incorporating AI in education is imperative because no matter our age, we all need to be aware of what AI is, what its impact can be, and how to prepare for the upcoming “AI-first” future.
We need to be begin educating our children to help them become ready for a world with AI. The next generation need to understand both the opportunities and the risks that these technologies bring. They need to be able to engage in a society-wide debate about how these technologies are applied and where there should be oversight.
In this talk, we will discuss how education should respond in the age of AI, why it's important that schools address the impact of AI, and share some of the ways that this can be done effectively.Presenter: Dale Lane

He spent several years as a developer of IBM's artificial intelligence platform, Watson, helping to create several of the technologies. He is the author of "Machine Learning for Kids", and the creator of the supporting website https://machinelearningforkids.co.uk/ which is used by children around the world to learn about artificial intelligence by creating and playing with machine learning technologies.
