What we're about

This group is for fellow mums who are new to Brisbane, miss their old friends and family and want to make new connections with lovely new people.

My daughter and I are keen to meet other mums and children for tea/coffee, playdates and just generally to explore this new city and surrounds together. Possibly also some baby free evening socials too.

Join us if you are new to Brisbane or have been here a while but need to expand your social circle. Group is targeted at 30s/40s mums but all ages welcome. Children of any ages can join us on our adventures.

Group Rules

This isn't a group with a large number of rules. Common courtesy and a willingness to meet new people, make new friends is the main theme.

I do ask that if members RSVP to an event, that they attend. If you can no longer make the event (even at short notice) please update your RSVP or message the event organiser. This saves the rest of the group waiting for a no show. Members who are no shows to events twice with no contact will unfortunately be removed from the group.

Family Picnic

Rocks Riverside Park

Hey, let’s include the dads for a change and let them meet other dads. Let’s meet at the rocks riverside park near the actual waterpark area at 10am for a family picnic. I’ll set up on the grass nearby and will put out some balloons so you can spot us. Bring a picnic blanket and some picnic food. Also bring swimwear if you or the littles want a splash in the pools. I’ve not visited before but also told there’s a nice new shady play area for the littles ones if needed too. Please update your RSVP so I know who is coming. Look forward to a relaxed family picnic with you all soon. My mobile is[masked] if anyone needs to reach me on the day :)
