What we’re about

IPFS (Interplanetary File System) eliminates the need for websites to have a central origin server, making it perhaps our best chance to entirely re-architect the Internet. IPFS is a content-addressable, peer-to-peer hypermedia distribution protocol that decentralises distribution and content-addressing so content can be decoupled from original servers, and connects connected computing devices with the same system of files, addressed by identities and content. The protocol allows the creation of highly distributed web-based applications. IPFS designed to make the web safer, more open and faster as well.

This group is for current and future users of IPFS. Topics range from installation and usage to programming distributed applications using IPFS and other distributed web technologies. We will also have talks about algorithms and data structures for distributed applications (CRDTs, merkle trees etc.)
