Here are the details. (Read them closely I'm only going to type them once.)

Join this Meetup if you want to have the opportunity to participate in small group, highly body protective, muscle mass development following my approach and sharing my super-set process. You must reserve your spot no later than 7 pm the day before the workout. There is a reservation fee (that may change from time to time) that will be refunded if you show up for the workout.

Be sure to contact me before you make your reservation so we can be sure we are on the same page as to location and time.

This is an opportunity to have a workout partner and is not a physical fitness training environment. (I am not a physical fitness trainer, nor certified as a physical fitness trainer or in any other way in this regard.) I've been exploring different fitness approaches over many decades and I have my approach and process that I have found to be very effective. I believe in the benefits of muscle mass development and high intensity interval training (HIIT). I DO NOT BELIEVE THERE IS SUBSTANTIAL BENEFITS TO HUMANS TO PERFORM LONG-TERM AEROBICS.

Here's the requirement (and following that is the TWIST), you must super-set with me in accordance with my wont. I have three sessions: (1) arms-chest, (2) shoulders-back and (3) legs-abs. Supersets alternate between each of these two areas doing three sets each of 15 to 20 reps. If you are a member of LA Fitness (or can otherwise manage to follow me in), we will work out at any LA Fitness in Dallas, or if you have a place you can get me in without charge I'll join you there. I will post my workouts on this site and you can reserve to join them, first come-first served up to three Monkeys. Yes, I will take one, two or three Muscle Mass Monkeys. With one or three Muscle Mass Monkeys (in addition to me, making two or four Monkeys) we will do two set super-sets and with two Monkeys (a total of three Monkeys with me added) we will do three set super-sets. We will move fast (thus getting some HIIT, as well as muscle mass benefits).

HERE'S THE TWIST: To reserve your spot at any of my workouts you must pay the reservation fee in advance. You might want to message me first to confirm where you prefer to work out. If not, it will be at the LA Fitness that my event indicates.) If you cancel or fail to appear for ANY reason (or no reason, for that matter) or are more than five minutes late, I will RETAIN your reservation fee. However, if you show up on time AND give it your best effort to keep up (you don't have to lift my weight, you may lift more or less, or the same, as long as you are focused on completing 15 to 20 reps) I will REFUND your reservation fee. SO, YOU WILL NOT BE PAYING ME TO TRAIN YOU (WHICH I DON'T WANT TO DO AND DISCLAIM I AM DOING IN ANY EVENT), but you will either be my workout Monkey for that workout for free or you will be PAYING ME NOT TO TRAIN YOU (OR OTHERWISE NOT TO WORKOUT WITH YOU). THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THE ABOVE, EVEN IF YOU ARE MY RELATIVE (INCLUDING MY SONS, MAYBE EVEN ESPECIALLY MY SONS) AND/OR A LIFE-LONG FRIEND AND/OR HAD TO BE AT THE HOSPITAL TO TEND TO A LOVED ONE!!! (IT'S ONLY $50. IT'S NOT YOUR LIFE SAVINGS.)

READ THE FOLLOWING LEGAL QUALIFICATIONS, WHICH YOU SHALL BE DEEMED TO AGREE TO IF YOU JOIN THIS MEETUP OR SIGN UP TO JOIN OR JOIN ANY OF MY WORKOUTS:

Each person who is accepted as a Muscle Mass Monkey (referred to herein as “you” and derivatives thereof) agree that from time to time some other party who is familiar with the manner in which the Organizer of the Meetup entitled “Muscle Mass Monkeys”, Gerald J. (Gerry) Reihsen, III (the “Organizer” or "Muscle Mass Monkey Mentor")) performs his fitness routines may appear in substitute of the Organizer at any workout you may attend through this Meetup. Neither the Organizer, any such substitute, any of their respective affiliates nor any of their respective associates (or the respective owners, directors, officers, employees, relatives or agents of the Organizer, any such substitute, or their affiliates or their respective associates (collectively, the “Organizer Parties”) is your personal trainer. You agree that by becoming a member of Muscle Mass Monkeys you are voluntarily seeking the opportunity work out with the Organizer or an Organizer Party and if you chose to workout with the Organizer or an Organizer Party you shall do so voluntarily and shall follow the Organizer’s or the Organizer’s Party’s series of exercises at your own level and weights and not with an expectation to be trained in the art or form of working out. You agree to be responsible for yourself and for knowing your limits and how to exercise without injury to yourself. The giving of advice or exercise ideas by any party shall in no way affect or limit the preceding. Any payment made by a Muscle Mass Monkey is meant as a motivational tool and not as compensation for any service. Any such payment only compensates for your failure to appear and perform as promised at a workout session.

You understand and agree that neither the Organizer nor any Organizer Party is affiliated with any gym or physical fitness facility (each a “Club”), other than as a consumer/member, and the Organizer and the Organizer Parties have no control of the facilities and equipment of any such Club. You understand and agree that when you are at the premises of any such Club you must comply with its rules and regulations and that you may also be subject to the Club’s terms of use, including waivers, releases and indemnities the Club may require. You understand and agree that you are responsible for knowing such rules, regulations and terms.

You represent that (a) you are in good physical condition and have no disability, illness or other condition that could prevent you from exercising without injury of impairment of health, and (b) you have consulted a physician concerning an exercise program that will not risk injury to you or impairment of your health. Such risk of injury includes (but is not limited to): injuries arising from your use or others use of exercise equipment or machines; injuries arising from participation by you or others in supervised or unsupervised activities or programs with Organizer or any Organizer Party or at a Club; injuries and medical disorders arising from exercising with Organizer or an Organizer Party or at a Club such as heart attacks, strokes, heat stress, sprains, broken bones, and torn muscles and ligaments, among others; and accidental injuries occurring while exercising with Organizer or any Organizer Party or anywhere in a Club, including its dressing rooms, showers and other facilities.

You agree on behalf of yourself (and all your personal representatives, heirs, executors, administrators, agents, and assigns) to waive, release and discharge the Organizer and all of the Organizer Parties from any and all claims or causes of action (known or unknown), including those arising out of their negligence, whether active or passive.

You understand, acknowledge and agree that physical exercise and use of any Club’s facilities, services, equipment or premises involves risk of injury or damage to persons and property and you assume full responsibility for all such risks. You hereby waive, release, discharge from liability and hold harmless the Organizer and each Organizer Party from all liability to you and your personal representatives, assigns, heirs and next of kin for any loss or damage, and you forever give up any demand therefor, on account of injury to your person or property, including leading to your death, whether caused by the active or passive negligence of Organizer and any Organizer Party or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law. This waiver, release, discharge of liability and indemnity includes, without limitation, injuries or damages which may occur as a result of (a) your use of any exercise equipment, including such equipment as may malfunction or break, (b) improper maintenance of any exercise equipment, premises or facilities, (c) negligent instruction or supervision, or (d) slipping or tripping and falling while working out with Organizer or any Organizer Party or on any portion of a Club’s premises or while traveling to or from any workout with the Organizer or any Organizer Party. You further expressly agree that the forgoing release, waiver, discharge from liability and indemnity is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the laws of the State of Texas and other applicable law that if any portion hereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full force and effect.
