We are excited to announce our next Music Technology Event (Round 8)!

This time we have joined forces with Digital Media at the Crossroads (http://www.digitalmediaatthecrossroads.ca/)to help you explore funding avenues available to music technology startups.

As usual, attending the event is free. Pizza, snacks, and drinks, will also be served---all free of charge (which is why you need to RSVP to the event).

About our speakers and the event agenda:

Our featured presentation will be given by Duncan McKie, President of FACTOR.

Talk title: How FACTOR can help my tech company develop a music project

Duncan McKie has been the President of FACTOR (http://www.Factor.ca) since December of 2010. Prior to this assignment, he enjoyed a broad and distinguished career in culture, media and market research, and regulatory affairs. Duncan was the President of the Canadian Independent Music Association (CIMA) from 2007 to 2010.

A short Q&A session will follow the presentation, so have your questions ready!

We're looking for interesting material related to the intersection of music and technology, e.g. music production tools/techniques, licensing landscape, music startup adventure stories, new product demos (but not sales pitches!), just to name a few examples.
