We are an informal group of people and their dogs who get together for a fun day of hiking and socializing. We hike in all but the most severe weather.  However, your safety and that of your four legged companion are paramount and will be taken into account when considering cancelling or re-scheduling an event.

Most hikes are easy to moderate and last between 2-3 hours.  The hike description will provide greater details.

Most hike locations are within a 90 minute drive from central Toronto.  They are diverse locales which include official off-leash parks within the GTA, conservation areas, regional forest tracks, and established hiking trails.  Many hike locations will have opportunities for the dogs to splash in running water.

Your dog should enjoy the company of other dogs and people and must be under good voice command if you plan to let him/her off leash.  You are responsible to have your dog under control at all times and liable for all damages he/she causes.  While other hikers will help you find and retrieve your dog, should it stray from the pack, they are not obligated to reunite your dog with you.

We suggest that you bring with you:

• A friendly dog or two;

• One leash for each;

• Water for you and your dog;

• Snacks or light lunch for both of you;

• A camera to capture the memories;

• Proper footwear appropriate for the hiking condition; and

• Weather specific gear (sun protection, rain gear, icers, etc.)

Before RSVPing for a hike, please review our group policies and waiver here:

Our trips are organized by volunteers who are going on a hike with their dog(s). You are welcome to join them - at your own risk
