7 Day Boundary Waters Trip (Includes Canoes, Meals, Permits) (FULL)
Join us for a paddle through the vast wilderness of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in northern Minnesota. This will be an epic trip with incredible scenery and some of the best fishing you've ever had. Local wildlife includes moose, otters, beaver, wolves, eagles, coyote and much more. We will drive up Wednesday, June 13th and meet at the Trail Ends Campground in Grand Marais, MN (we may also opt to camp in the national forest closer to the "put in" location). This is where we will stay the first night and go over the finer details of our route and gear check as a group. In the morning, we will load canoes and shuttle cars if needed. There is a local outfitter that can provide any last minute items such as snacks, camping/fishing gear, batteries, extra maps, etc. We will paddle and portage many miles in very remote wilderness. This time of year is prime fishing season so be prepared to reel in walleyes, monster northern, bass, and even lake trout. Meals will consist of hearty breakfasts, simple lunches, and fantastic dinners cooked over campfire. Of course, we can eat as much fish as we like. On Tuesday, June 19th, we will break camp early and tackle one last stretch back to the exit point. Based on our route, we may need to shuttle back to the vehicles. This trip is not for first-time paddlers. You should be comfortable in the water and able to portage your personal gear, lightweight canoes, and assist with group gear. The pace will be relaxed at times and challenging at others. We will be paddling several hours a day and portaging canoes over land. We plan to have a couple "zero travel days" during the week to relax, hike, swim, fish, and more. AS ALWAYS >>> A gear list specifically for this trip will be sent out upon registration. Price $600 ($50 off if paid before April 30th) A $100.00 deposit is due to hold your spot. The remaining $500 is due by May 30th. What we're about

Want to spend more time in nature, learn new skills, and meet great people? This is one of the biggest and fastest growing meetup communities in the Midwest for people interested in wilderness/outdoor adventure. All skill levels are welcome and we like to offer plenty of opportunities for members to meet up and practice or learn skills. To do this, we have free social events at least once per month that focus on things like backpacking skills, wild edibles, cold weather adventure, day hikes, gear, or just sitting around the fire sharing stories.

This group is run by outdoor professionals trained in wilderness medicine and adventure guiding. We help people become more skilled, more experienced, and more confident outdoors. We don't care if you have the most expensive gear on the market or make your own at home. What matters is getting out more often and having fun.

We hold a variety of exciting formal courses and trips for our members. These events are chosen based on member interest and include trips and programs such as Wilderness First Aid certifications, backpacking and canoe camping trips, survival courses, cooking classes, extreme winter camping, and more! We also do big international expeditions. From Mt. Everest to the Arctic to the Amazon Jungle these trips are organized and guided by us.

We never want to exclude anyone from classes or trips so please contact your organizer with any questions or concerns. We can help you to be fully equipped for any adventure so come on out and join us!
