San Diego Herpetological Society is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Corporation serving the community since 1978.

The San Diego Herpetological Society - Reptile & Amphibian Club - seeks to build a community and network with everyone who shares a passion or curiosity for reptiles and amphibians kept as pets or studied and observed in nature.

Our primary objective is to create a supportive environment for enthusiasts whether a beginner or life-long hobbyist or breeder.

Hello Reptile and Amphibian enthusiasts of San Diego!

We are a passionate team of new and old faces looking forward to growing our herp community and share our love, education, and support for reptiles and amphibians.

The regular monthly meetings of the San Diego Herpetological Society take place on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 7:00pm in Balboa Park in the Casa Del Prado Building. (1650 El Prado San Diego 92101 – Room 104).

Our meetings generally include light refreshments, live animals, social time to network and connect with our reptile & amphibian community and a guest speaker or presentation focused on herpetological content ranging from biologists, vets, breeders, zoologists, and other reptile experts.

SDHS meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday every month will include reptile and amphibian talks, some animal show and tell, herp socializing, and planning for reptile awareness and outreach within the community.

If you have a passion for reptiles and amphibians native or exotic and want to learn and share from some likeminded people. Come join us at our next meeting!

We ask for a $5 donation for meeting attendance for non-members.
