Day 1: Memphis, Tennessee ~ Welcome to the Home of the Blues, the Birthplace of Rock ‘n’ Roll, and exactly the place you want to be as we prepare to board the American Queen! Venture out into the streets of Memphis at your leisure to enjoy the city’s scrumptious eateries, unique boutiques and shops, and the lively entertainment scene. The day is in your own hands, while you are here, don’t forget to experience some of the city’s most historic attractions including Beale Street, Graceland, and Sun Studio!

Day 2: Memphis, Tennessee ~ Today is the day you have been waiting for! Prepare to board the opulent American Queen and embark on an unforgettable journey down America’s largest and most historical river.
If you haven’t gotten your full dose of Memphis yet, visit the American Queen Hospitality Desk for ideas about how to spend your day before setting sail at 5:00pm this evening.

Day 3: Greenville, Mississippi ~ Greenville is at the very heart and soul of the Mississippi Delta and opens its arms to welcome American Queen guests for a festive Christmas Market celebration. Local crafters including potters, jewelers, artists and other various vendors gather in Greenville’s Stein Mart Square for a traditional Christmas Market that harkens memories of Christmases past. Stroll the aisles with carolers and local entertainers dressed in holiday garb and browse the festooned markets for an old-fashioned holiday experience complete with hot cocoa or tea. With a vast selection of holiday and local treats, crafted beer and regional wines guests are certain to uncover the perfect last-minute Christmas gift to complete the bounty under your tree. Enjoy an included hop on/hop off tour of the popular museums and sights of Greenville!

Day 4: Vicksburg, Mississippi ~ Vicksburg perfectly blends Southern culture and heritage with exciting modern-day attractions. Described as the “Key to the South” by Abraham Lincoln, this southern town carries a history unlike any other Civil War City and celebrates the Christmas holiday with a traditional flair. Meander through the shops adorned with holiday garb and experience the historical significance of this southern town. As the grand American Queen departs Vicksburg this evening, guests will be delighted with a stirring holiday performance by the local musicians as they present a lively performance of holiday tunes. Enjoy an included hop on/hop off tour of the churches, museums and historical sights of Vicksburg!

Day 5: Natchez, Mississippi ~ The spirit of the Holidays spreads through this charming southern town and resonates throughout its streets with traditional holiday decorations adorning the town’s most historic homes. Natchez takes pride in decking their halls as they welcome American Queen guests into the town for a truly southern holiday celebration. Browse the shops throughout Natchez for that perfect gift and stroll through the halls of her historic homes and buildings. As the American Queen departs, the sweet melodies of holiday tunes bid us adieu with traditional Christmas music from the levee. Enjoy an included hop on/hop off tour of the stately homes, museums and sights of Natchez!

Day 6: Nottoway, Louisiana ~ Magic is in the air at Nottoway Plantation as the melodies of Christmas echo through the halls of the great mansion and carry across the lush grounds. Your evening at Nottoway Plantation is full of enchanted holiday traditions including festive Christmas Markets offering a glimpse into holidays past. Christmas Markets are reminiscent of celebrations of yesteryear offering a wonderful opportunity to hunt for the perfect treasure.
Enter the white walls of the great plantation for an elegant celebration with live music, carolers, festive dancing and a holiday feast complete with libations and yule tide merriment. This romantic evening is capped off with the lighting of traditional bonfires along the levees. As your evening at Nottoway comes to a close, return to the American Queen for a grand Holiday Ball.

Day 7: Nottoway, Louisiana ~ Nottoway is the South’s largest, most glorious remaining Antebellum mansion with a rich history dating back to 1859. In a fabulous location along the great River Road overlooking the grand Mississippi River, this “White Castle” of the South transports visitors back to an era of glory and grandeur. Set amongst a natural backdrop of vibrant gardens and two hundred-year-old oak trees, Nottoway Plantation captivates all with a brilliant blend of true Southern hospitality, history and mystery. Today enjoy an included tour of Nottoway Plantation, the South’s largest remaining antebellum mansion. This stunning historical plantation lies between Baton Rouge and New Orleans and offers a view of a truly grand plantation.

Embark on an adventure through a city radiating an eccentric and authentic atmosphere and filled to the brim with history and culture close to the heart of America. Explore the history of New Orleans including the first settlers, religion, culture and Mardi Gras. On an exclusive New Orleans narrated driving tour, you will experience the city from an intimate first-person perspective. Relax in the comfort of our motorcoach as we glide past some of the most iconic attractions in the city including the French Quarter, Jackson Square and the Garden District, where elegant mansions stand as a testament to Greek revival, Italianate and Queen Anne Victorian styles. Your tour comes to an end at the New Orleans airport.
