Located on the southern edge of Wrexham and only minutes away from the town centre, Erddig Country Park is a haven of peace and natural beauty. Terrain: Woodland, field and riverside paths and tracks. By car: In Wrexham, take the A5152 in the direction of Rhostyllen and , just past the cemetery in Ruabon Road, take a lane signed Erddig. Almost immediately, go left on a track signed Felin Puleston Countryside Centre, where there is a parking area. Felin Puleston(Erddig Car Park) , LL13 0YT. Menopause The Musical - The Hilarious Celebration of Woman and "The Change". This fabulous comedy hosts a cast of hormonal women, memory loss one-liners and innuendo-laden version of pop classics. Starring Cheryl Ferguson(EastEnders favourite Heather Trott), Maureen Nolan(The Nolans), Casualty's Rebecca Wheatley and Copy Cats' Hilary O'Neil, the hysteria Menopause The Musical has entertained and inspired women across the world since 2001. Menopausal or just in need of a laugh out loud kind of night, this show is a must seen for all women. This hilarious celebration of women and 'The Change', is an all-singing, all-dancing comedy bringing together four women at a department store sale, who on first appearance have nothing in common. Ticket price is £30, and if members could pay to [masked] I will be getting the tickets early in January. The musical will take place at the William Aston Hall, which is a seated event. Glyndwr University is right next to Wrexham Racecourse on the Mold Road. There is parking outside, which will be free. If there's any interest, we'll meet in the foyer, where there is a bar available. Meet up times will be arranged nearer to the date. Just so members are aware, Sunday 5th May falls on a Bank Holiday.
Alyn Waters Country Park is the largest country park in the Wrexham area, it's situated in the beautiful Alyn Valley. There's a variety of woodland, grassland and riverside walks throughout the park, helping you explore the whole site. The Gwersyllt side offers parking(£1), a visitor's centre, a cafe, a gift shop and toilets. The walk will be approximately two miles, and takes about 45 minutes to complete. A suggestions is to go for a drink and maybe something to eat in the cafe afterwards. The cafe does provide various snacks.
