Ski / Snowboard @ Cascade Mtn. Wisconsin
Cascade Mountain is a great place to ski/snowboard for all skill levels. Area Profile Perched on a long ridge overlooking busy I-90/I-94, Cascade is considered the top day trip area in the Midwest. Chicago is three hours away, Milwaukee less than two, and Madison just a scant 30 minutes. All ski or board levels are welcome to join us on this event. We will brake up in groups based on skill level of ability. Others and I can sometimes also help in teaching or improving your skills. We might not be able to help the first timer but if you can ski or board a little we can help you get better. If you're totally new I suggest you take a ski or snowboard lesson. Please see the Cascade website for lesson cost. Weekend crowds can be big, but the ski area is equipped to handle them. With 11 lifts including a high-speed, detachable quad, they can move a lot of skiers uphill quickly. The 460-foot ski hill offers 34 plus trails, four terrain parks and two halfpipes. Cascades bump runs are legendary. They’ll make you wish for a teenager’s knees again. Mogul Monster, with Volkswagen-sized bumps, is open to expert skiers only. Snowboarding Profile Cascade Mountain has four Terrain Parks, one Superpipe, one halfpipe, 15+ rails and jibs, and 5-10 jumps that are available for both skiers and boarders to enjoy. Each of the 4 terrain parks feature different jumps and rails that change from day to day. All trails open to riding. Check out Cascades website: http://www.cascademou... (http://www.cascademountain.com/) Attendance and Weather: If sign up is too low, or weather is not great for skiing the ski event might be canceled. Please respect the organizers time and efforts. PLEASE only sign up if you are 100% sure you can make it. Finding Us: I will post in the comments area below my cell and the meetup location the day before the event. We usually have two meeting times to help anyone that ends up running late. Second time will be our lunch/ warm up brake. Anything else you might will need to find us will also be posted. For Carpools: Start posting in comments if you like to carpool. I will not be setting up car pools. If you have a car and want to drive and share a ride please post it. Carpooling is a good idea to save money on gas and tolls. Also depending on your location your drive can be up to 3 hours. Why not have someone to talk too and share some cost. Pricing: Lift Tickets: $64 Ski/board Rentals: $40 Helmet: $10 If we get enough going I will see about a group rate. This will require a payment to me before the event because I will have to pay for all spots at the time of the booking. Any questions? Ask!

What we're about

N2BD Local Adventure and Travel is a group of adults mostly in their mid 20's, 30's, early 40's who share an enthusiasm and interest for intermediate to advance adventure activities.

Sound like fun? Join other adventurers who think the same! We welcome singles and couples who like getting thrills through activities like Rock Climbing, Canyoneering, Hiking, Kayaking, White Water Rafting, Camping, Backpacking, Mountaineering, ATVing, Sailing, Snowmobiling, Snow Skiing, Snowboarding, Water Skiing, Jet Skiing, and more. From local weekends to world journeys... together, we'll discover amazing destinations and incredible adventures.

One of the intentions of this group is to have members that are active, keeping the size of the meetup events at a reasonable number, and to develop REAL friendships and camaraderie.

Over the past 6 years, the N2BD Adventure Meetup group has been to Smoky Mountains, Badlands, Yosemite, Acadia, Sequoia, Yellowstone, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Grand Teton, Cuyahoga Valley, Rocky Mountain, Glacier and Mammoth Cave National Parks.

Devils Tower, Mount Rushmore, and Perry's Victory National Monuments. White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire and many US cities.

We have been to dozens of state parks from Iowa, Ohio, Indiana, to Kentucky and Michigan to name a few states.

Also in the past 8 years, we have been to 27 states with our events. States are ID, MI, MT, WY, CA, CO, SD, MN, WI, IL, MO, TN, KY, WV, NV, AZ, OH, GA, NC, SC, VA, MA, NH, ME, PA, IA, and MO.

Please take a moment to check out our calendar of upcoming events below. This is a great community of outdoor and adventure seekers! We do cater to people of all skill levels and to a variety of interests... from beginners to advance. We are not experts in all adventures and will take classes to learn or improve our skills. In addition, we welcome anyone who is skilled in a certain area and interested in organizing and leading future adventures to please contact us.

When we can N2BD Adventure organizers will hire professional guides with local knowledge or skills to help us with our events. We at N2BD Adventure also know it's hard to always be active in the outdoors so we will also periodically have a social meet up as well. Things like going out golfing or just going out for drinks.

Organizers in N2BD Adventure are volunteers who help facilitate group trips. Normally, these trips are over a weekend to destinations in the Midwest, within a three to eight-hour drive or flight from Chicago. We also take into account that most of us have very busy lives and can not always accommodate multi-day trips, so we have a variety of single day trips. We plan most of our events for fun as well as adventure.

There's power in numbers and our mission is for everyone to have fun, meet new friends and save money. So what are you waiting for... join today and let's have some fun!

To keep up with our very active schedule, you can follow our activities via Twitter and on Facebook.

A little about the N2BD Adventure group Founder.

After being an organizer for several meetup groups for a few years Richard thought it was time to start his own group in 2011. He wanted to plan more advance trips, explore new places, and give his organizers the freedom to plan anything fun.

N2BD Adventure was born after a few of us met at a signals snow tubing event back in 2008. We then grew through meeting each other's friends on hikes and other actives over the year. Then after discovering the meetup site in late Summer 2008 and a few other great Chicago meet up groups the family grew.

The N2BD Adventure group name was born on a car ride home from a hike in the spring of 2008. We were thinking of a name to call the adventure group and someone came up with is N2BD (Name to be Determined).

Dues and Fees:

Every Meetup Group has to pay monthly dues to Meetup.com to have their group exist. If group funding is low we might also ask for $1 per person at some meet up events to help pay the Meetup fees. For some bigger trips, we will sometimes add a sign-up fee to help out with the Meetup.com monthly fees, trip planning cost, and organizes time. This fee will be from $5.00 to $30.00 depending on the amount of planning the trip takes. None of us make money running this group and we rely on our friends and members to keep us alive.

Hope to see you soon and let's have some great adventures!

Richard and the N2BD Adventure Group Leadership Team.
