Celebrating East African Women in Edtech - Speed Networking
Details
Hello Edtech-ers,
Have you been as inspired by IWD 2022 as we have? These recent days have given us amazing insights into the needs and opportunities to better support women across sectors, particularly our female Edtech leaders!
One of the big things we heard repeatedly was that female Edtech leaders need opportunities to connect and network. Our goal is to always respond to you -- our community -- so with that in mind, we have decided to reschedule our next demo day to address this need.
Next week, 16th March 2022, at 4.00 pm, we will host a virtual speed networking event with different women in Edtech across East Africa. You will get to interact with our guests, who will share what it takes to be Women Edtech leaders in East Africa.
- Lyndah Kembabazi, co-founder of KAINOAfrica (UG). KAINO is an Early Childhood Development system that includes curriculum-aligned-STEM infused lesson guides, children's workbooks, storybooks, and formative assessments.
- Tracey Shiundu is the co-founder of Funke Science. Funke Science is a Kenyan Edtech organization that conducts science sessions, games, videos, and tutorials for children aged 3 to 18.
- Wambura Kimunyu is the CEO of Eneza Education, a Kenyan Edtech company that provides SMS-based curriculum content to primary and secondary level learners.
- Nisha Ligon the CEO of Ubongo (TZ). Ubongo delivers effective, localized learning to African families at a low cost & massive scale.
(Ubongo and KAINOAfrica are both HundrED 2022 Global Innovation winners)
You don't want to miss this power-packed event. Please book your slot and invite your networks. We look forward to hosting you.
